We all know summer is fleeting, so we’re helping you make the most of it by putting together a list of something to do each day in June, July and August.  Below is our June roundup.  Whether you like to be active, enjoy a good art festival or prefer to spend your summer exploring new dining options this list has something for everyone.  There is so much to do in Inver Grove Heights and the Twin Cities, there is no excuse for being bored while you’re here!

Thursday June 1st:  Fuel up on breakfast at Cahill Diner then hit the Mississippi River Trail and enjoy spectacular views of the Mississippi River along the way.

Friday June 2nd: Put on your boogie shoes and dance to some live music at Jersey’s Bar and Grill.

Saturday June 3rd: Get moving at Hike It! National Trails Day with Inver Grove Heights Parks and Rec Department.

Sunday June 4th: Check out Grand Old Day, the unofficial kick off to summer in Minnesota.  There’s fun for the whole family with food vendors, live music, local artisans, bounce houses and more!

Monday June 5th: Head to The Valley Disc Golf Course and enjoy a round of disc golf.

Tuesday June 6th: Grab a frosty root beer float and check out some classic cars at A&W Restaurant.  They host cruise night every Tuesday (weather permitting).

Wednesday June 7th: Be one of the first to explore the newly remodeled Minnesota Children’s Museum at their grand opening.

Thursday June 8th: Grab some take out from Inver Grove’s newest restaurant, 1.2.3. Pasta and head to South Valley Park to dine al fresco.

Friday June 9th: Let your kids test their fishing skills at the Huck Finn Fishing Derby at Simley Island Park.

Saturday June 10th: Swing Dance the night away at the Commemorative Air Force Minnesota Wing’s Spring Swing Big Band Hangar Dance.

Sunday June 11th: We’re doubling down on the fun today!  Head to Historic Fort Snelling for their special Flag Day 1942 walking tour.  In the evening relax to the sounds of the Inver Hills Community Band at Oakwood Park.

Monday June 12th: Cheer on the St. Paul Saints as they take on the Sioux City Explorers.

Tuesday June 13th:  Head to Arbor Pointe to get in a round of golf at the executive 9-hole course.

Wednesday June 14th: Have a delicious ice cream cone at Peterson Popcorn and Ice Cream and then head to Simley Island Park for a little fishing.

Thursday June 15th:  Hang tough with NKOTB (New Kids on the Block for those of you who weren’t children of the 80’s/90’s) at the Xcel Energy Center.

Friday June 16th:  Check out one of Minnesota’s most iconic historic structures at the Stone Arch Bridge Festival.

Saturday June 17th:  Cheer on the Minnesota Lynx as they host the Connecticut Sun.

Sunday June 18th: Make your way to Veteran’s Memorial Community Center to stock up on fresh produce and local delicacies at the St. Paul Farmer’s Market in Inver Grove Heights.

Monday June 19th:  Grab a cold beverage and relax on the river side patio at Overboard Bar and Grill.

Tuesday June 20th:  Cheer on the Minnesota Twins as they host the Chicago Whitesox.

Wednesday June 21st:  Cheer on the Minnesota United as they host the Portland Timbers at TCF Bank Stadium.

Thursday June 22nd:  Enjoy a wide variety of jazz music at the 19th Annual Twin Cities Jazz Festival.

Friday June 23rd:  Get a little nostalgic at the MSRA’s Back to the 50’s car show at the Minnesota State Fair Grounds.

Saturday June 24th:  Check out one of the most popular pride parades in the country at Twin Cities Pride in Minneapolis.

Sunday June 25th:  Enjoy the creative output of 100 artists at the 23rd Annual Eagan Art Festival.

Monday June 26th:  Make your way to Inver Wood Golf Course for an invigorating round of FootGolf.

Tuesday June 27th: Pick up the pace with some live harness racing at Running Aces Casino & Racetrack.

Wednesday June 28th:  Get the heart pumping with a hike through Harmon Park Reserve and refresh yourself afterwards with some fresh guacamole and a margarita at El Azteca in Inver Grove Heights.

Thursday June 29th: Learn more about Native American culture and history on OPOS Tours’ Sacred Sites Tour.

Friday June 30th: Pair your wine with some live music at Cannon River Winery.
