Whether you’re in the mood for burgers on a rooftop patio, a tableside view of the Mississippi River, or pairing your meal with a beer at a local brewpub, Inver Grove Heights has some great outdoor dining options—including local parks if you’d like to get your food to-go.
Up on the roof

Jersey’s Bar & Grill is beloved for its iconic cheese-stuffed Jersey Juicys, and now you can chow down on the rooftop deck. The menu also includes classic bar appetizers, burgers, chicken sandwiches, salads, homemade soups, and comfort food entrees. Breakfast is served on Sundays from 9:00 a.m. to noon, and happy hour food and drink specials are offered daily.
Call ahead for immediate seating, with walk up reservations accommodated based on availability.

The expansive rooftop patio at B-52 Burgers & Brew is a great place to soak up some sun. The restaurant’s creative burgers are topped with everything from wontons to candied bacon. Make any burger vegan by substituting a plant-based patty; gluten-free buns are also available. In addition to burgers, the menu includes salads, sandwiches, and entrees.
Reservations are required and can be made online or by phone.

The patio at Mississippi Pub offers one of the best views in Inver Grove Heights, with front-row seats to the Mississippi River. The wide-ranging menu includes coastal favorites like crab cakes, fish tacos, and Cajun-style grilled shrimp. There are also crowd-pleasing appetizers, burgers, sandwiches, wraps, salads, and grain bowls. Gluten-friendly options are available.
Breakfast is served on Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., and happy hour specials are offered Monday through Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Overboard Bar and Grill is another riverside establishment offering beautiful views of the river. The laid back atmosphere makes it a perfect place to grab a burger and beer!
Both the Mississippi Pub and Overboard Bar and Grill are accessible by land or by river with convenient docking at each location.

The largest patio in Inver Grove Heights is unquestionably Drkula’s 32 Bowl. Whether you’re participating in a volleyball tournament outdoors, bowling indoors, or just want to enjoy some sun shine, Drkula’s patio is a great spot. The menu has a wide variety of options the whole family will enjoy from jumbo wings, burgers, chicken tenders, and BBQ Ribs.
Patio reservations are on a walk-up basis—if a table is open, you’ll be seated right away, otherwise you’ll be assigned the next available time slot. If you’re looking to just enjoy a meal and beverage on the patio, you’ll want to plan around league play as the patio is very popular.

A visit to the Mallards patio gives diners a chance to enjoy regional U.S. specialties and globally-inspired dishes without leaving Inver Grove Heights. From Maryland crab cakes and Thai chicken lettuce wraps to a Tennessee hot chicken sandwich and Korean beef tacos, the menu highlights tasty dishes from around the world. Options include starters, seafood, handhelds (think sandwiches and burgers), entrees, soups, and salads, as well as an impressive wine list.

The tap list offers nearly two dozen beers, including summer-friendly sips such as Midwestern Heat Wave (a sour beer) and the Knee High cream ale. On the food menu, pick from appetizers, salads, Neapolitan-style brick oven pizzas, burgers, sandwiches, tacos, and pastas, with several vegetarian options available.

Once you’ve procured some tasty eats, settle in for a picnic at one of Inver Grove Heights’ 27 parks. Many offer picnic tables or picnic shelters. For scenic views, check out River Front Park and Swing Bridge Park, which are located along the Mississippi River.
