If your favorite dates involve fresh air and the great outdoors, hit the Mississippi River Greenway for a winter walk or fat-tire bike ride with scenic views.  The trail runs along the river through Inver Grove Heights, linking local parks, trails, and communities.

If you’ve worked up an appetite, the Mississippi Pub is steps from the trail’s Swing Bridge Trailhead.  The riverside restaurant serves up elevated pub fare including burgers, sandwiches, and tacos, and the glass-walled dining room offers up a stunning vantage point on the Mississippi.

Fans of local brews will enjoy an evening at Inver Grove Brewing Co., which offers nearly two dozen taps and a full menu of appetizers, soups, salads, pizzas, and more.  Several beers are brewed on-site, and there are also selections from sister brewpub Lakeville Brewing Co. and other local breweries.

Pair your pints with some special occasion appetizers like oysters, beer steamed mussels, or black and bleu tenderloin bites.  Next, try one of the Neapolitan-style pizzas, freshly made in a brick oven.  There’s a wide range of classic and unique pies, from pepperoni to coconut curry.
